I. Competition Rules
- Horses can begin showing in In Hand events as weanlings.
- Most under saddle classes begin at 3, some begin at 4.
- The oldest horses can show under saddle is 25 and 30 for in hand.
- Junior classes are 4, 5, and 6 year olds.
- Senior classes are 7 & older, unless a Senior Plus class is offered, in which case the Senior classes are 7 to 14 and Senior Plus is 15 & Older.
- International classes (FEI and starred events) minimum age is seven years, higher levels may be older.
- Please be realistic when entering. A horse cannot enter every single level at a jumper show, but may do two consecutive levels reasonably, potentially up to three.
- Over entering will result in a forfeit of all entries, placings, and awards.
- Horses may enter a max of five under saddle classes.
- In some cases, classes are broken down Pony/Horse/Draft:
-- Pony is any equine 14.2 hands and under, including but not limited to recognized ponies, crossbreeds/grades, and donkeys.
-- Horse is any equine 14.3 hands and above considered to be light or saddle type, including but not limited to Quarter Horses, Arabians, Cleveland Bays, Dutch Warmblood, ect.
-- Draft is any traditional recognized draft breed or draft type, including but not limited to mammoth donkey, Clydesdale, and Shires.
-- The VSE (Very Small Equine) division is for breeds such as Falabellas, Miniatures, and Shetlands; to not exceed 40 inches.
NOTE: In the case of some horse breeds, ie. Quarter Horse, some individuals may classify as ponies. It is up to the owner to decide which to show in.
NOTE: In the case of some pony/draft breeds, ie. Gypsy Cob or Welsh Cob, it is up to the owner to decide if they should be shown in pony or draft classes.
- International level classes will only be offered at specific, international events. Horses may compete down a level at national shows at the owner's discretion.
II. Title System
- All shows are placed CH/RCH/TT.
- Points are earned in the following scale:
-- National: 3-2-1
-- International: 5-3-2
The current title system are as follows:
Champion (CH) 250 Points
State Champion (SCH) 500 Points
National Champion (NCH) 1000 Points
World Champion (WCH) 2500 Points
